We stayed in cabins and they were fantastic. Double queen beds and potential room for air mattress. Close to fredricksburg, luckenbach and many wineries. Park like area in back and chill space. Highly recommend.
Rooms very clean and functional. Works perfect for a solo traveler or couple. Location is great if you are doing things in Stonewall/Hye/Johnson City. There is no view/ambience from the deck. Service station next door with bright lights at night. Totally exposed to the Texas sun during the day.
Great place to stay. Call for reservations. They give you a better deal than a third-party booking. The lady I spoke to was so very cool. It's a quiet, quaint little motel. The up stairs patio was kinda cool. Oh, gotta check out the back part of the place. Kick back and relax with some deer.
Roadtripping and wanted to hang out and stay the night on the 290 for the wine route. This place was recommended while we were at the winery Augusta Vin. It was a PERFECT location. Great rooms, clean, super cute, quiet for us as a couple but had spaces to socialize if with a group. loved the deck, had our coffee there in the a.m. with a great breeze. At night it's all lit too. This was our second time to stay and the first was great and the second terrible. Only a third of a roll of toilet paper with no backup; the door was so ajar that I had to put a towel from the handle to the base to stop the inflow of cold air and we had to take any real valuables with us because a slight push would open the door; and, finally, the TV is terrible. Not only are there no current news channels available, but since it is internet based, the screen continued to freeze. It will be our last stay at SML!
