During a regular cleaning at the dentist, a part of my permanent retainer got broken. They did mention that the part was weakening and thus they accidentally broke it. I asked for compensation since these retainers can last for over a decade and mine has not even been 10 years. However, they later claimed that it was already broken even though it was intact before.
