Because I preferred to have a cardiac catheterization at Deborah rather than at Community (he sent me to Deborah before for one) Dr. Stone told me I would need to find a new cardiologist. He had been my cardiologist for over 20 years! He also said nothing could happen during a catheterization. Not true. I know what can happen and Community is not equipped to perform heart surgery if there is a complication. My husband was a patient of Dr Jay Stone from 1994 when Dr Stone was in the ER at Community Medical Center. I will always be thankful to him for his expertise and kindness he always showed my husband. My husband passed from Dementia in 2023. Dr Jay Stone was his Cardiologist for 29 years.
I was present at Dr. Stone's office the other day for a follow up visit after a recent heart attack. I was a bit early for my appointment but was greeted by a friendly receptionist. Shortly thereafter i was screened for my first visit. I was then led into an exam room where a med tech had done some preliminary test. She was very nice and took her time administering an EKG.
