I moved in August 2023 with people who had already lived at Stonecrest for a year, so I had to sign an as-is lease. The problem is, when I moved in my room was damaged and I was not offered a damage report packet because of the as-is lease. When I questioned this I was told I would be responsible for the damages the prior tenant had left since they didn’t do an inspection of the apartment when they left since my roommates resigned. I see that the last review on this place was from 3 years ago, so let me write a new one that is up to date. Please please please do not live here. They will constantly find ways to charge you no matter what. If they have the slightest way of placing ANY sort of blame on you so that you get billed, they will. Live in a house at slippery rock instead, it is so much easier and you have better landlords. It’s a great location to campus, but I highly recommend NOT signing an as-is lease. maintenance is poor, and the leasing office is only in it for the money.
