Food is and fritters were great!
The food was good and plentiful. Our waitress, Chrystal, was not as attentive or as organized as I would expect. And they were not super busy. But we had to ask for my husband's drink 3 times and we had 3 orders of coffee but they never came out at the same time.
Apple fritters and Apple julep are fabulous!

This is one of the nastiest restaurants I have ever been to! All of our food was cold but we still tried to eat in anyway because it was impossible to flag down the server. The server cleared our table before we even got dessert and finished our cold food! The manager laughed in my face when I confronted her about the terrible experience. There are too many other wonderful places to eat in the area, don't waste your money here!
gave it a try based upon several friends recommendations...the room we were in (the pantry I think) was cold and uninviting...our server was overwhelmed and running around like crazy...and this is a Tues night, it wasn't very busy...fritters, apple butter, apple juleps and soups were outstanding...the fried okra was like the frozen kind, not fresh...the fried chicken was very good...chicken and dumplings were way too salty...the chicken fried steak was way over cooked...server neglected to get us straws, napkins and refills.... read more
Great food and service. Friendly people and large portions.
Go the Apple Barn when we are in town, this time was the worst service out of all of them. The wait is kinda expected because of the popularity of the restaurant, but the waitress we had was new, but also unfamiliar with what to do when waitressing. Table was sticky, took her a few minutes to take our order (while she was standing in front of us), brought us our fritters and left the tray twice on table until we was done eating. We just stuck are dirty plates on the trays for her. She kept on repeating sorry I am just tried.... read more
