He is by far the very best surgeon in Memphis. Dr. Stoikes is exceptionally skilled and cares about his patients. I had a hernia repair with better than expected results. He is honest and I am grateful for his help.
I saw Dr. Stoikes for gallbladder surgery. He was quick to get me in and scheduled my surgery for the following week. I am very very happy with the results. I was so sick with my gallbladder and couldn’t eat and was on edge in fear of an attack. Dr. Stoikes reassured me. I have tiny scars from the surgery and had an uneventful recovery. An excellent surgery who takes the time to explain things. He communicated well with me and my family before, during and after surgery. Very skilled surgeon and saved my life.
Fixed a hernia that no other surgeon in town would touch. Truly a good send and an asset to the Memphis community.
Did not check in post-procedure. Will not provide adequate post-op pain relief. Recommended drugs specifically contraindicated by my medical history and charts. Left me in completely unnecessary pain for 3-4 days post-op.

Dr. Stoikes performed an inguinal hernia repair for me in 2020 and a hiatal hernia repair for me in 2021. Both surgeries could not have gone better! Dr. Stoikes also took plenty of time to explain to me why I needed each surgery in my initial consultations, and then visited with me right before my surgeries, as well as right after, and he was warm and professional throughout.
