DON'T EVER COME HERE FOR MEDICAL SERVICE....THE WORST I'd rather go to SFGH they have stepped up the service at SFGH....DO NOT COME HERE.
This is a horrible emergency department. The only reason i came here because i'm coughing and been waiting for over 2 hours and there's a patient who came in after me was admitted and the patient that came behind me, all he had was stomach pain and i can hear him saying he was feeling fine. And yet here i am coughing, and they're treating me the least emergency. My elderly mom 88 years was taken here for stomach pain. She was there from about 3:30 pm on Thursday and returned home by ambulance on Friday at 1:00 pm. They advised me they would send her home at 9:00 am to meet the caregiver, but she didn’t arrive home until 1:00 pm and no one contacted me about change! When she finally got home she looked a mess! I had severe stomach pain and i was treated quickly and professionally. The nurses, doctors, and technicians were kind and professional. I’ve generally had bad experiences at ERs in the bay area but this ER really listens to patient concerns and helps to find the issue and resolve it. I 10/10 recommend going here if you’re in need of medical attention.
To be fair they did get me in pretty quickly which is why this is two stars, but the service once in was a complete waste of time. I came in at 1AM having the same issue, but with even more pain, that I went to urgent care with earlier in the week. They gave me a cup of water, the exact same medication l had before, and nothing for the pain. The urgent care from earlier was also a sutter hospital
