Someone should remind this restaurant that it’s in Charlotte, not Miami, because the outrageous prices and pretentious attitude don’t match the quality of the food or service. My steak was completely overcooked and flavorless — not even close to what you’d expect for the price they’re charging. At least they comped it, which was the only redeeming part of the experience. I was looking for a quiet Saturday lunch, and STK hit the spot. OK music not too loud. Nice mix of table. Nice well constructed burger with the usual trimmings, in my case egg and avocado. 10 points to Jarrod, attentive but not intrusive, great menu knowledge. The real show here was the fries, some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Well done team kitchen. Perfectly complimented by the pepper point sauce.
The person that welcomed me at the front was kind enough to pour me a water when they saw no one was helping me. Ordered a wine from the bartender, but then he didn't come back. So after sitting around alone at the bar, I left and went next door to the other Steakhouse. I ordered a glass of wine and my food in the first 4 mins. That's the expected service at a high end restaurant.
I was in Charlotte for a conference, and several people at breakfast on Tuesday were raving about this place. So, I decided to book a dinner reservation with a supplier. About 15 minutes before our scheduled time, I received a message saying our table was ready. Two of the five of us headed over right on time for our reservation, while the rest of our group were on their way.
