24 states and our government have changed their condo/co-op laws and rules in regards to Boards and Management that intentionally delay major repairs that create huge assessments. They can no longer be allowed to harm our seniors, our retires and our young families. New York needs to do the same. Seems my original review was removed--maybe the request for a forensic audit scared this management organization and being we are advised we have no money for minor work in out building for the next 5 years...Aside from this--I am still waiting for the courtesy of a return call regarding a simple request put in a few weeks ago--which seems to be an ongoing customer service problem with Stillman Offices.....I try everyday to look for the good in them but.....
This is the WORST Management Company that anyone could imagine! Never answer calls very RUDE and when your call does get answered no one ever returns the call. As far as repairs they only do cosmetic repairs to make the appearance look good. They have scumbags lawyers who think they can bully you and get away with it.
I am a working veteran who was displaced by fire and I worked with Stillman management for an apartment which was open then they gave me the runaround very unprofessional and they gave the apartment to someone who they said makes 100,000 per year and 900 credit score even though they said I was the only one in the running which I don't believe they lead you on like they did me for weeks and I was homeless at the time, no call backs and they still have open apartments they won't give one to a section 8 working veteran if you ... read more
The worst management company I have ever dealt with. They are so disorganized and never answer the phone. They have wasted a month of my time just to say papers were missing that THEY left out. I have experienced constant problems with them over the years. Something needs to be done. No one is accountable at this company.
The best way to understand people is to listen to them.
Superior Resident Service – Since the arrival of Adam T. on the scene at Stillman, service has never been better. Not only does Adam address my questions, but he makes sure that any issue is followed through on and taken care of to our mutual satisfaction. I have found the his service to be the best in my 11 years at my condo. (p.s. he is super-responsive too - amazing from a management company, no?)
Worst Management Company – Stillman management, hands down has to be the worst property managment company possible. Th point of contact for my particular townhouse unit refuses to be rational, listen, or compromise. Phil C. is completely useless. He actually has told me that there is no point in compromising with him, that Stillmans laywers and corporate officers are too strong and will win over any matter questioned. Lacks Professionalism – I live in a building that was taken over by Stillman Management earlier in the year. Getting a human being, outside of the poor receptionist, to speak to you is next to impossible. Repairs seem to be optional, regardless of the nature, and priorities are very mixed. For example, we have been without hot water for three DAYS without an explanation and waiting for repairs caused by a storm that happened in August but yet new mailboxes were installed in the lobby last week.
