HORRIBLE!!! preliminary closing statement not provided until morning of closing. Settlement fee double what should have been charged and closing documents not sent to the buyer in a timely manner.
Awful experience. I haven't met many rude people in my life, but Sandy, the Longview branch manager, is the most disrespectful person I know. She is also terrible at her job. Not only did she request me to wire $10,000 over the actual amount needed, but she also identified me on the title as a single woman. My husband and I went to the signing together in person. I introduced my husband to her and told her that he wouldn't be on the title. After all that, she didn't correct the paperwork or have him sign a quitclaim deed. ... read more

Stewart Title forces out it's older employees in favor of younger inexperience cheap labor. Then when asked where the employee went they lie and tell you the person retired. Age Discrimination. Dishonest. Corporate GREED!!!!
Poor service, delays, unclear disclosures. Run! Read every word of the fine print with them. Review every charge by them well in advance. We got our closing disclosures at the time of closing after multiple extensions for the buyer's side were given by us. Finally, they even charged for the mobile close, which they weren't supposed to according to our broker. I'll never do business with them.
Bank of Oklahoma/Albuquerque mortgage choose Stewart for the sale of my house to another party. I kept things simple. I negotiated a simple flat cost “seller to pay for x amount of buyer’s closing” as is often done. A simple line item that was communicated to Stewart. And they could not even get that right. How?
