I put my dad to rest on July 3rd 2026 and I want to personally thank Christian Gaines, Beth Locke, Aisha Smith and all the staff you all were professional and kind .one of the things loved most was the personalized song created for my dad based off his obituary. At first I was nervous but the song was beautiful and just the singer chosen walked through my dad's life just they were in every step everything came together so beautifully.
They were unprofessional. This is not the same business their fathers created. I wouldn't let them handle services for my dog. On top of all of the mistakes they made, including not picking up the family until I called a few times, their prices are double that of Newcomer. I do not recommend. This hurts to say because this business is a staple in the community and I went to school with the family.
I do not recommend this funeral service at all. It was unorganized, the limo driver was an hour late, technology was challenging, and we didn’t get any follow up directions for receiving the urn. We were also expecting the book markers that were printed to be present and available to guests as they were signing in, but didn’t get those until after the service was over. During one of the saddest times in the life of my family Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home made a huge difference in how we will remember saying goodbye to our Mother. They were so attentive to details that brought everything together so beautifully. God bless you for the service you provide to families.
My great-nephew Dimitri Davis service was today directed by your staff. I live in Birmingham Al and couldn't attend the service. My nephew Darrick Stallworth had sent the church information but I couldn't find it's link. After calling the church (office closed), I was led to call the funeral home.
