In 2023 Steve's Yard Care In La Vista, NE. 68128 Rarely comes over to Council Bluffs, Iowa. But a friend of mine told me that he could restore my yard ( which was in poor conditions and several types of weeds. I have a very large yard and priced stripping it and have sod laid. The first season Steve came out all was well.Second season a new story.The applicators burned my yard in spots in which Steve wouldn't even come look or fix for that matter.He then started doing extra, UNAUTHORIZED,applications.After I complained and disputed the charges,he kept sending the bill.He is a very poor businessman Wendy K.
What a joke,they sent a flyer saying 49 for aeration up 4500 square feet,so he said well I'll look to see how big it is,so we made arrangements for him to come Saturday April 30th.never called never showed up, then around dinner time on Sunday, he comes and tells me 79$ cause I have a hill and it's harder. Seems like the 79 dollar is trend for them cause couple reviews say same thing.***************** no sorry for not showing up or calling nothing.told no I don't want you're services
My father was in the final stages of cancer, the yard was overgrown. Steve came and said double cutting it with edging, along with fertilizer, calcium, lye, and insect would be around $300, he asked for $800 cash before they would come out. We agreed, they came cut and fertilized, and continued to mow and fertilize. This was in May, June another 800, July another 800, my fater passed on the 9th. DO NOT use Steve's Yard Care!!! This person "Steve" is NOT dependable and reliable. I called for an estimate and he said he would be out over the weekend. Nobody ever showed up or gave me a phone call. VERY poor business practices!
I have used Steve's Yard Care now for almost 20 years. I have a 1.14 acre plot, 85% of which is the back yard. I first tried four other services (two of which were local franchises of national chains) and they just couldn't keep up with the yard while charging outrageous prices. I then called Steve's Yard Care. Steve's pricing is reasonable, treatments are effective, and reliable year after year.
