If i could give negative stars i would. I am 20,000 miles and almost 5 years since he built the 350 for my car. I have had nothing but major mechanical failures since the first turn of the key. He didn't build the heads properly so most of the valve train has had to be replaced. Rods twice, 2 broken rocker arms, 3 broken rocker studs, complete replacement of the rockers themselves, warped intake, incorrect valve covers during initial build, several leaks due to not tightening up oil and antifreeze plugs, and the latest was a loose timing chain that cause the crank skipped a tooth. He is extremely rude and insanely arrogant. With all the original problems he agreed to a 3 year warranty to assure me we were through it all, only to go back on his word and told me to essentially pound sand. I asked for very specific parts for the motor and he threw whatever cheap stuff he could find, including the intake manifold that was not what i asked for. I can only credit the loose timing chain after only 20000 miles to either a used part or the cheapest piece of garbage one he could find. I had to threaten to sue several times during the first year just to get him to honor the warranty that HE OFFERED. He didn't machine the vortec heads and due to coil bind, started the whole scenario. He admitted he didn't over the phone stating that there was no need they were brand new heads and that there was just no need. EVERY mechanic and EVERY machine shop I have explained this situation to since has started, along with EVERY blog on any Chevy forum, that you have to boss the valve spring seats or you end up driving, or towing in my case, down this road. I have an automatic with an rpm gauge and it has never been out of drive or reverse, and it is my baby that i drive to work and back. This motor hasn't run well enough to hot rod it or over rev it as he claims i have done. I put synthetic oil in every 3000 miles and pay to have the services done at the appropriate intervals. But every time i turn around something else fails. Between the $4150 i paid for this lemon and the additional $3000 to get it CLOSE to right i could have bought a better motor with a better warranty. To make this motor right and to perform like it is supposed to i will need to sink another $2000 into having the heads pulled, machined, and rebuilt. He lied to my attorney in writing, and because for some unknown reason, mechanics are protected by the law and they can get away with it, and this guy abuses this. Stay far far FAR away from this guy, because no matter what he fails to do, it will always be YOUR fault.
