I saw Dr Schopick today. I thought he was very professional,to the point, and I appreciated his advice. He listened well. Not a lot of small talk or anything, all business,but I appreciated that... I was there for a serious concern,and although that chapter isn't finished, I will have zero issue returning for treatment if necessary. Warm and fuzzy? Nope, but came across as very competent.
I was evaluated by Dr. Schopick yesterday for degenerative disc disease and associated pain. He was very kind and provided a thorough explanation of the spinal pathology and reviewed treatment options in detail. A pain management appointment was scheduled promptly and completed. I feel confident in the care plan and remain optimistic about the outcome.
One year ago today Dr. Shopick operated on my back. At 75 I feel better than I have in years! Dr. Shopick is incredibly caring and kind, as well as an amazingly skilled surgeon. From the moment we met him, both my husband and I felt immense peace and comfort. Rather than just operate he gave me three options, and I chose surgery. It went so smoothly that I was up and about in no time, and back to work at my retail job in a month. I highly recommend him to anyone considering back surgery.

I called to ask to try to schedule surgery later this year as I was at the point that I was in unbearable pain and could barley walk now, but his nurse said he wasn't able to see me or even try to schedule the surgery cause I hadn't lost the amount of weight they asked. I've been working on this but, I guess it doesn't matter to him what "your" patient is going through. I wouldn't want a doctor like this who doesn't care what his patient is going through.
