One year ago today Dr. Shopick operated on my back. At 75 I feel better than I have in years! Dr. Shopick is incredibly caring and kind, as well as an amazingly skilled surgeon. From the moment we met him, both my husband and I felt immense peace and comfort. Rather than just operate he gave me three options, and I chose surgery. It went so smoothly that I was up and about in no time, and back to work at my retail job in a month. I highly recommend him to anyone considering back surgery.

I called to ask to try to schedule surgery later this year as I was at the point that I was in unbearable pain and could barley walk now, but his nurse said he wasn't able to see me or even try to schedule the surgery cause I hadn't lost the amount of weight they asked. I've been working on this but, I guess it doesn't matter to him what "your" patient is going through. I wouldn't want a doctor like this who doesn't care what his patient is going through. Back pain isn’t a disability he said. I mean do you really want that kind of person to work on your back. Also if you’re overweight do to back problems and trying to lose weight don’t go here doesn’t care.
