Excellent care
I felt that I got a very thorough eye exam in Dr. Shum’s office. He took the time to explain all the tests I was given I appreciated all the up to date equipment he has. You get what you pay for. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

Was referred to Dr Shum by my retina surgeon due to difficulty I was having with my near vision! Dr Shum had all the latest technology but in the end, it was his wisdom that determined I had a condition called convergence insufficiency prism. He was very thorough and I was finally able to make the distinctions between letters/numbers that have given me fits at other offices. Now, I have the proper prescription so that I can read without the lines crossing and overlapping! Best eye exam ever!
Had a very negative experience. No clarification on what you are being charged for. Charges follow up appointments and contact fitting fees an unbelievable price. When I simply questioned them about my 1000.00 bill they seemed irritated.
I would not recommend going to his office as he made several pair of unsatisfactory glasses for me, and I kept asking for them to be made so that I could really use them for seeing better. They were very expensive items to work so poorly. I wrote him a letter detailing all the issues I was having, and I got no reply. They are more interested in selling frames than really dealing with one's vision issues. I was very disappointed in my experience here.
