My mother was having surgery today and the RN was trying to get the IV started and kept saying she didn't know what to do. Well she got it in but it was not flowing correctly so she got another RN and instead of moving it to get it correct they just pushed down on her hand and taped it tightly to keep it pushed down and then another piece to pull it forward. The entire experience was extremely unprofessional. It took an act of Congress after my Doctor referred me to this department, for me to get an appointment. Then a couple of months ago I had an appointment with Dr Porter’s NP. She agreed with my GP that I required surgery. Then I received an appointment to meet the surgeon and a week later I’m at the hospital. I was told to check in at 10AM, which I did. I checked myself out a few minutes ago. I was recently hospitalized for total knee replacement. Dr. Steven Porter in personal my opinion, is the best along with the entire hospital staff.
