My mom recently had gallbladder removal surgery here with Dr. Steven K. Nakao, and everything went perfectly. Dr. Nakao is an excellent doctor—very nice, friendly, and kind. He made us feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the process. We are truly grateful for the wonderful care she received. Thank you, Dr. Nakao, and thank you to the hospital staff for making this a smooth experience.
Worst doctor. Do not go to him. He did a horrible job with my sister.

Outstanding experience. Dr. Nakao is one of the best doctors that i have ever used. He has the best bedside manner and truly cares about you the patient. The experience at the sentara surgery center was also five star. From check in, registration, pre-op, post-op, and the surgical team that assisted Dr. Nakao during the surgery. I could not have received better care or outcome. Dr. Nakao performed robotic gallbladder removal. He is an expert in robotic surgery and i highly recommend him.
