You should have bariatric surgery before going to him if you are 200 pounds or more . Oh wait if you have a christus plan they dont cover baratric services of any kind not even a dietician. But you cant get your knee replaced so you can walk again either. Wont even give me the cortisone shots for pain and was very rudely told to lose weight. This review comes six months post-op! Dr. Johnson and his staff were exceptional! My procedure was ACL reconstruction with a lateral and medial meniscus repair. The operation went well, and I followed their post-op instructions and I am well on my way back to 100%. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson’s office! The staff at Christus has been great also!
My mom had surgery on her hand. Dr Johnson did not even see her, after her surgery. He never even popped in, to tell her what he actually did, and how it went etc. Then, when my mom spoke with Dr Johnson's nurse, Lara ..... She was a rude, know it all, and gave a lecture, instead of just apologizing for the very poor patient relations from Dr Johnson. Also, since my mom complained, Dr Johnson decided to withhold her 2nd round of "after surgery" pain meds. This guy, and his staff seem to be on a major ego trip, and cannot acc... read more
Did not come and talk to me post op to answer questions i had about the surgery. Called my husband on the way home. His nurse Lara called me at home and tried to lecture me. Very rude. I cancelled post op visits. She called me again 2 days later. Refused to prescribe second round of pain meds. Had "suggestions" which I declined to listen to. She's a lecturer, not a listener.
