Office staff is great. He may be an excellent doctor, BUT no personality AT ALL. Very dry doctor. You are working with people, a little smile would not hurt. Reading the reviews 2 were spot on with his personality. On top of that, they want to charge if you request your prescription, which to me is ridiculous. Yes, its a service, but that service should be included because that is the whole point of a patient getting checked to see if there vision has changed. Went to him 3X. After a lifetime of wearing glasses and contact lenses I decided to undergo cataract surgery. Initial trepidations were quickly dispelled by Dr. Steven Katz who explained clearly and succintly what the procedure would entail. Two months post initial surgery I can only say that I should have done this years ago. I am beyond thrilled with my results. Looking for an opthalmologist for cataract surgery, I decided on Dr. Katz because he had excellent reviews, credentials, is close to my home and accepts my insurance. Can't really ask for more than that! And the reviews were not bogus! Initially, I had the most thorough eye exam I ever had in my life, followed by 2 surgeries with zero problems. Dr. Katz has been my ophthalmologist for over 10 years and every time I’ve come to see him for my yearly check up he and his staff have been most professional, courteous and helpful. He takes wonderful care of me and he knows how concerned I am about my Diabetes possibly affecting my eyes so he makes sure to check everything and helps me to keep my eyes healthy.
