Went in for an opinion and was told would cost office visit and initial X-rays and would be able to give me a general option, which I never received at all. When he found out I was getting a second opinion from another person he was got an attitude. I wasted my time and $ 300. Also, his office person Cherie was so-o rude. Do not waste your time or money. You will be sorry.
I had dental work that Dr. Fuqua was never able to complete with good results. Said the only way to get better results was to get implants - cost of $38,000! Took 7 months. Paid $4,200, and would not refund any of this. Ended up having to go to another Dr. Have filed a formal complaint with the Texas Board of Dentists.
Upper and lower dentures, total cost $4,200. He never could get the dentures to fit properly. They floated around in my mouth when I ate. He worked on them for approx. 7-8 months. I had to go to another Prosthodontist - Dr. B -for new dentures, got a letter from him stating all the problems were with the ones Dr. Fuqua had done. And, by the way, Dr. B was one that had done my original dentures, very well known in Ft. Worth. Dr. Fuqua stated that Dr. B wasn't even a Prosthodontist. hybrid dentures/implants; VERY expensive; chairside manner needs major improvement; not totally forthcoming about all that was done and who did it; e.g., name of dental lab, etc. Missed a complete step in the process of installing hybrid dentures on implant posts; e.g., putting a temporary in place and working with the temporary version before installing the final product; result of crooked appearance of implants, bite on left side, while teeth do not meet on right side; teeth lap over lower lip. I recieved dental treatment from Dr.Fuqua and he is an angel. He was so gentle and careful that I didn't feel a thing throughout. Best Prosthodontist I've ever been to. The staff is very friendly too.
