The physician seems nice enough, but he was extremely flippant. My blood work was not at all just fine. When I reviewed the results myself, I noticed elevated cholesterol—which I’ve never had in my life—and low calcium. He brushed both off, saying everything was fine and that “that’s just where you run.” This guy needs to retire.
I went to Dr. Steven Howard a couple years ago for an annual check up. I had blood work done and he noticed elevated cholesterol. Instead of finding a solution, he merely said it was genetic in the lab report, which is racially biased. He didn’t even verbally discuss it with me, Which also means he doesn’t have my best interest at heart. I have since gotten the help I needed elsewhere. Wouldn’t recommend him at all if you’re a person of color especially African or African American.
The doctor was fine, but his office posted numerous billing errors. They even tried to bill me on dates that I didn’t even have an appointment. I’m switching providers.
Just another example of a doctor who’s solely focused on driving profits and making everyone jump through 1000 hoops for the smallest things. “Support staff” is just completely useless and rude. I don’t know why healthcare has become so challenging but every thing that needs to happen takes hours and endless calls.
While Dr. Steven Howard is nice enough, the supervisor of his staff at Downtown Medical Group were truly horrendous. I would not entrust the care of my goldfish to the let alone a human being. His head of staff Winnie illegally discharged my partner as a patient which is called patient abandonment. Do not seek treatment with a doctor who will abandon you.
