I'm really surprised by the horrible ratings here. All staff are super nice. I tend to come after work, so while I believe the reviews here that they waited long, assuming it's in the morning, in my 3 years here not once I waited more than 15 minutes. The doctor is just an old school NYer and I can see how he can come off tough and rough but never he was disrespectful to me and or had I issues with the work he does (only one fixing of an old filling in 3 years and cleanings every 6 months + correctly referred to me to a surg... read more
Came across this place when I was walking my dogs. I have another dentist but her receptionist never follows up on the periodontist appointment and when she did my fillings, she didn't even use the teeth sensitivity spray that Dentist use and my teeth were so sensitive to cold after her fillings so I had to go back twice for her to fix it ,so I decided to try this place down the street from my apt.. Dr. Steven Backer is extremely unprofessional and unwelcoming. My son and I had an appointment, and he demanded a full set of X-rays just for a basic cleaning. He didn’t even floss between our teeth, rushed through the visit, and did the bare minimum. On top of that, we had to wait nearly two hours before being seen. This was one of the worst dental experiences I’ve had, and I would not recommend him to anyone.
