I had a very disappointing experience with this doctor. Despite paying for a dilated eye exam, he never explained how my eyes actually looked or discussed any findings. I had to ask him as he was already trying to leave the room, at which point he simply said, “Your eyes are fine.” That was the entirety of the explanation. He spent no more than 3–4 minutes with me and did not take the time to hear my medical history or concerns beyond a few seconds. The staff are the friendliest and very professional. Dr Christensen is the best! He diagnosed me, prescribed medication and I was released today. Anyone looking for a great retinal specialist should see him
When you go to see a doctor especially dealing with something as serious and as sensitive as your eye sight, you're feeling vulnerable and looking for help. I'm sure he's a knowledgeable doctor, however I have a relative that was seen by him recently and did not have her questions heard, answered and not important. This year I had the unfortunate experience of retinal issues YET the fortunate experience of receiving help from Dr. Steven Christiansen. He does an extremely thorough exam which his friendly office team initiates with basic tests. Then, he makes a treatment recommendation but also lets you decide if you want to proceed OR wait. Dr Christiansen is a very professional, very likable, extremely experienced and knowledgeable retina specialist. We can't thank our regular eye doctor, Dr. Cynthia Cid, enough for recommending him. He takes the time to be certain his patients are well cared for on a personal level as well.
