Dr Steven Barnett did a great job for my hip revision. I felt completely comfortable with the way he was going to handle the surgery. My original hip was great, no pain, but finally discovered that high metals from cobalt/chromium that were causing other issues. I had to get the metals out. Hoag Orthopedic Institute was amazing. Dr. Steve Barnett is the BEST! I had both knees replaced by him (at the same time) and never regretted it! We’ve also sent him numerous referrals & their experiences have been very good, as well. Don’t hesitate to go see him and his wonderful team!
I went to Dr. Barnett after scheduling hip surgery with another doc - just to hear another (3rd) opinion. The experience was very good - everything per my schedule appt time. He did a diagnosis, took xrays and reviewed them in detail with me. He explained the dynamics of the hip and how it relates to various activities. I was impressed by his patience in answering all of my questions and talking through the logistics of the operation and recovery. Also just seemed like a good guy / nice person

Dr. Barnett, the Michelangelo of surgeons, has the magic touch. He’s replaced both my hips with perfect results; the first hip did ten years ago and the second last year, both with fantastic results. I now have excellent general health, zero pain, and great flexibility in a very active lifestyle of cycling, skiing, and hiking. Highly recommend.
