Dr. Steven Barnett performed total knee replacements on both my left & right knees at the Hoag Orthopedic Hospital next door to his Office Bldg. The surgery was successful no pain no swelling. Dr. Barnett told me the surgery was successful but you have to go to all of the Physical Therapy Appts. that I want you to go too. And to also do my Home PT as well as prescribed by him. I would like to give a big shout out to Dr. Barnett. He did a bilateral hip replacement and gave me my quality of life back. At the age of 39 I was diagnosed with Severe osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis bilaterally. I was in so much pain for about 2 years and thought being debilitated was my only way of life. Dr. Barnett took the time to review my MRI's with me and we decided to move forward with the surgery. Dr Steven Barnett did an excellent job on two hip replacements 10 years apart. I had every confidence in him, and enjoyed a very quick recovery with both replacements.
Went here for a second opinion on my hip replacement. Completely missed my hip replacement stem is oversized. The doctor I’m seeing now for a revision surgery pointed it out to me and I’m clueless on how anyone could miss it. He also missed my replacement is metal on metal and caused even more problems. Just wanted me to come in, have an appointment, bill my insurance and not do anything. Go anywhere else but here. Way overrated. In 2021 Dr. Barnett performed a hip replacement on me. I had had the other hip replaced 2.5 years prior with no problems at all. The doctor that replaced the first hip did the operation through the side of my hip, which healed perfectly. I would have went back to him but he had since retired. Dr. Barnett told me that he goes through the front of the thigh because it heals faster and they don't cut the muscle.
