October will be 7 years since dr. Haas replaced my left knee, after years of pain, I have none, I don't even know it's there, from when I finished physical therapy it has been pain free and you can barely see the scar, I have to say HSS and Dr Haas are the best in the world
Had Right knee replacement in 2016. Had left knee replacement 12/4/19. As a surgeon, he is the best you will ever find. Bedside manner 11/10. His PA’s are fantastic. Office staff outstanding. If I had a third knee, I’d let him do that one as well. Hopefully I’ll be hiking again soon like I did after my first knee replacement.
Dr. Haas performed a total knee replacement in 2016. Best thing I ever did. He is an outstanding surgeon with a great bedside manner. His PA’s are an 11/10. Unfortunately I need to have the left one done. There is no one I would rather use.
Dr. Haas is one of the kindest people I have ever met and one of the most respected orthopedic surgeons in the US..
Had successful bi-lateral knee surgery in January 2017. Dr. Haas is an excellent surgeon and at 4 months, I am pain-free and back to enjoying walking and (hopefully) hiking. Dr. Haas and his staff were responsive whenever needed (he called my husband back at 10:30 pm when we needed to speak to him). I am very pleased with the results of this surgery and very glad that I did both knees.

Excellent surgeon. Kind, great bedside manners. My only complaint is his office staff who I felt was rude and made you feel like you were inconveniencing them if you called the office. I am still amazed a surgeon of such elite status uses third tier office staff.
nice guy but that doesn't help you walk Sure, he's got a great bedside manner but you wait six months to see him and he doesn't necessarily tell you all you really need to know. He'll spend lots of time with you but there were things he wasn't forthcoming about, like real recovery time and how odd and artificial and painful and slow it will be. After surgery, he leaves his staff to deal with you. They handle your questions and your medicine and they are not knowledgeable enough to do that. I wound up severely addicted to the... read more
Outstanding Orthopaedic Specialist – Outstanding, highly competent orthopaedic surgeon. Best in class, with excellent bedside manner - a rare combination. If you're looking for a knee or hip specialist, look no further. Practice is based at HSS where doctors have broad consultative access accross specialties, which tends to improve accuracy of diagnosis and therefore treatment.
