The front desk staff is very rude. I would not recommend anyone to schedule an appointment with Dr. Portney because he has zero empathy for his patients. If you miss an appointment he will no longer accept you as a patient. He is not a charismatic doctor.
Dr. Portney is hands down the best rheumatologist I've ever been to. Today was my second appointment with him and I knew for certain afterwards that I was in good hands. I've had RA for 47 years and I'm not even 48 years old yet lol so I'd know darn it 😂! Don't listen to these lesser reviews without at least meeting him. Perhaps they just struggle to communicate themselves and that's why it didn't go well for them. Dr. Portney was very pleasant. I did not feel rushed or ignored. Very clean office and no wait time at all. A very good experience all the way around. Thank you!
I had a very disappointing experience with the front desk staff. I called to schedule an appointment, and the person I spoke with was rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful throughout the conversation. After scheduling the appointment, she abruptly hung up on me before I had a chance to ask any additional questions. Customer service is an important part of any medical office, and patients should be treated with courtesy and respect.
