Steve Smith is a perpetual liar and has taken advantage of multiple customers, not completing the contracted work and taking money. Steve began our landscaping project in April 2022, and no work was performed for over 5 months, after which we needed to hire another company on our own dime. We asked Steve for a refund of the down payment we provided to him up front, and he has yet to return any money (he committed to returning $2855 of the $4000 paid. Steve and his crew did a major backyard remodel for me and a lot of things went well but a lot needed to be re done and still hasn’t been re done two years later after me asking at least 20 times. Plus $900 of work that was paid for but never completed. He always has an excuse.
Steve was fantastic. He's responsive, flexible, and communicative, and he and his crew regraded and landscaped my new house like it was his own. I love when negative reviewers leave no details. Whoever left those reviews from years ago probably weren't actually his clients
I will just copy and paste, and edit from other posters - this guy is a crook. I would rate him 0 or below if I had an option and recommend others to stay away from him as much as possible. On 29th Aug 2014, Steve Smith took money from us promising to start the landscaping work within a week however he neither started the work as of Nov 24, 2014 nor is returning our money back.
