I switched to Stern & Associates and have been extremely happy with their service, communication, and accuracy. I wanted to be sure my preparer had plenty of experience with LLCs and independent consulting practices; they've shown they really understand those issues.
Apparently, Andrew Stern sold Stern & Associates in 2019. I am a retired CPA and reviewed a 2019 tax return for a friend that had been prepared by Carol Fullam (new owner). There were numerous errors. My friend requested she fix them. She fixed a few and created 2 more errors. My friend again requested she correct the errors. She refused saying her tax return was correct. She does not know and does not care what she is doing. I cringe for all the others for whom she is preparing tax returns.
Been a client for about 20 years. They are very knowledgeable and pro-active tax advisors. They are looking out for your best interest. If you are in the arts or you are starting a small business, they will be very helpful.
Andrew Stern was referred to us by Marion Parmenter, former Director of the SFMOMA Artists Gallery at Fort Mason. He is really easy to deal with and has given us excellent advice as well as service. He has convinced me to take a Home Office deduction when my past CPA told me not to bother. He has helped my husband, and Artist, with his business expense tax preparation as well.
