Much better than Newbury Wow, is this an improvement on the original. As someone who is not even a little impressed by the Newbury St. location, I thought the food here was actually (almost) deserving of the prices and it goes without saying that it's not as big a pain to get seated here. Some of the menu items are actually on the adventurous side, and the kitchen manages to pull them off. We'll see if it has staying power.
Stephi's On Tremont is Great We went to Stephi's for a work dinner last week and I was impressed. Didn't hear good thinigs about it but I thought the food was nice, the manager was really friendly and the service was excellent. Prices are still steep - especially since it replaced hte Garden of Eden but I will definitely be back!
The Ugly Stepchild of Stephanie's Stephi's is the new 'Stephanie's on Newbury' located on Tremont in the South End. It hasn't quite come into its own yet in its new location so I will give them some time still. The menu is paired down and a bit more casual than that of the original Stephanie's. The service is good but could be better and I would say the same thing about the food. This is a great location for a summer brunch.
Stephi's On Tremont is a great place for drinks & apps! I went to Stephi's for a girl's night out. We enjoyed a drink at the bar while our table was being prepared. The food was not fabulous, but the atmosphere & wine list are great. Prices are steep. I would definitely go back for drinks & appetizers.
