If a doctor walks in the room saying you do not need to be there, leave. If a doctor refuses to acknowledge the importance of a medication you have been taking for nearly 30 years, run. Never allow a doctor talk down to you. You do not have to be a doctor to be intelligent, a honors college graduate, and have held a professional position for over 30 years. You know your heart better than anyone, even a doctor, especially if said doctor refuses to listen. My medication controls more than blood pressure. It controls arterial f... read more
May be intelligent and experienced but so full of himself he does not listen to patient. He is arrogant, rude and dismissive. Very poor bedside manner. Does not like to be questioned. Gave questionable recommendations to my husband. Thinks he is God.
Polite and professional. Straight to the point. My kind of physician
Very poor experience with Mester. He is rude, and does not listen to the patient he is treating. I am leaving his care.
I was a patient with Dr. Mester for a couple of years. He is not interested in what a patient finds out about his care or the reasons for his or her opinion. He has predetermined ideas and does not understand that individuals are all different in my opinion. I may not be a physician but I know my body better and if you do not agree with him he does not want to treat you. I wish I knew this originally about him. He also is entitled to his opinion but it is my life and I want to live.
I saw him today, I have had two back surgeries and lung cancer lost one lobe in one lung and half in the other. Having trouble walking so I have put on some weight. He said I see you have put n weight I said yes haven't been able to walk very good, he told me I need to quit walking so much to the kitchen. This man is sitting in front of me and is a lot fatter than I am, telling me I'm no longer 20 and I can't eat what I did at that age. He knows nothing about what I eat or drink. He is so rude
I went in on the recommendation of my PCP. I found Dr. Mester kind, thorough in his explanations, and I highly recommend this physician to those who might suffer from "white coat syndrome" like me. I also found the staff to be efficient and the support staff to be knowledgeable. I think that providing the paperwork in advance, especially because it is a really thorough medical history (but listed by condition so you don't have to write it all out) is an efficient method for staff and patients.
