I had emergency surgery for a perforated bowel due to diverticulitis. Dr Sisco was not my original surgeon. After emergency surgery I had only seen him while admitted in BMH, he was the antendee on the flow the week after my surgery. He answered all my questions and the nurses on duty spoke highly of him. When I was released I had follow ups scheduled with my original surgeon, but was only assigned to NP's and DA's. I never saw my original doctor. Met at emergency room as throwing up, exhibiting an obstruction. Surgery found a small tumor-didn’t show on CT scan- removed. Dr Sisco exhibited utmost professional care, approach, understanding, etc. I put capability first on my list for docs, with bedside manner much lower, but Sisco was great on all attributes. Plus the entire team of other doctors, nurses, etc. was superior. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Went to Beaufort Memorial Emergency due to pain in abdomen. X-rays and CT determined a perforated bowel. Dr Sisco came and explained options, we tried a conservative approach of antibiotics first, but It became apparent that surgery was necessary. My care with Dr Sisco and his team have been excellent. They spend time to explain and answer questions.If things need to be added or changed in plan of care, Dr Sisco makes sure that it happens quickly, so care is managed efficiently. Dr. Sisco did two surgeries on my mother and one on my brother. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know. He went above and beyond his duty to take care of our family on all three occasions. His staff is excellent too!
I have never had a bad experience with a doctor with Beaufort Memorial Hospital until today I had never met Dr. Sisco until this day - he took over for Dr. Burres (my first surgical specialist) No beside manor - I mean 0 Made disparaging remarks about the room I was placed - not his room, but Dr. Ashby's (Gyno) Made me wait 30 minutes undressed after asking me to come earlier for my appointment Spent 5 minutes examining me Didn't ask me anything Wouldn't listen to what I had to say - brushed me off rudely leaving the room as... read more
