The only thing about Dr Silva, as well as his staff and physical office (including down-the-hallway Ivy Rehab), that I saw as any sort of problem is that I actually had needed a new knee. But at 77, after 8 years as a catcher in HS/college and then 35 years of rugby followed by nightly running which devolved to daily walking at maybe age 60 and at least 15+ more recent years of annual knee lubricant injections, it was obviously time. From my initial phone call to make an appointment to the X-rays done in house and Dr. Silva talking with me about hip replacement took away a lot of the fear I had about this. Dr, Silva explained everything in detail, went over the X-rays with me, answered questions and I never felt rushed at all. Highly recommend Dr. Silva and the staff in this practice.

Dr Silva and his office staff are wonderful. I would highly recommend Dr Silva as a surgeon both as a former patient and as a nurse. He is very thorough, and makes sure all your needs and questions are addressed. I felt completely comfortable about having my knee replacement done and confident in his care. I am 3 months out from my knee surgery and it feels great. Just hiked last weekend and walked up and down 200 steps with no pain or difficulty!
