Dr Pirotta and all the staff were wonderful! He helped reduce the pain in my toenails by removing ingrown nails. I’m still healing, but it’s so much less pain…unbelievable! He’s the best!

Dr. Pirotta and his staff are amazing. Had a big toe implant 3 weeks ago and I haven’t felt this good in years. Already walking 2-3 miles a day, thanks to not only the great job he did, but also the recommendations he gave me for PT at home. He is always great to talk to and explains things extremely well. I highly recommend him. Lloyd A.

I had hammer toe in my right foot, Dr. Pirotta caused me to almost lose my toes foot, and possibly more. Four of my toes were black from loss of circulation, from the poor placement of the pins. He failed to treat the infection in my foot, denied that there was any. He is completely incompetent, uncaring, and only in business for money.

I broke my toe. I taped it together with my little toe and went to mr. pirotta. He took an x-ray. He told me the break wasn't bad and showed me the x-ray. Surprise it didn't look bad. He taped it up and said when the swelling went down he would re-examine it. I just happened to look at the x-ray again....it wasn't mine. It was someone else with the same name but different birth date. HOW!? My x-ray was just taken!!! I later found it was broken in 2 places. Now it's bent and I have nerve damage

Business response:

The x ray print out having someone else's images is definitely an issue we will take under advisement and deal with accordingly, although it can happen due to being the same name and someone being asked to print it last minute, we should still take better care. As for your toe, we would have to make sure you came to the 2nd appoint where we would have likely taken a new x ray when the pain did not subside to determine if we could see fractures. If this appt was not met, we can do little to help.

first visit was fair. S con visit, a year later, not so good. I have permanent nerve damage in my foot from an injury in 2001. It had been recommended to me by a a couple of other podiatrists not to have the nerve removed because it could cause other problems. He wanted to remove the nerve. Told him I didn’t want surgery. Second visit he didn’t even look at the foot, just wrote a refill for me. Today office staff hadn’t contacted my ins co for approval. Appt cancelled. Lost one day of sick leave

Business response:

The Dr will always cover every option available and sometimes the patient does not want any of those presented. In those cases, the patient has chosen not to heed the advice of the Dr they are seeing and not much else can be done when this happens. Sometimes patients leave no options for the Dr, and their hands are tied. This tends to leave the patient thinking they were not taken care of and we are sorry you felt that way in this situation.

I have arthritis of the big toe. Told I needed custom orthotics at a cost of $600. The orthotics I received are very soft flexible 3/4 orthotics that do not in any way relate to my foot condition! Totally useless and they billed my insurance company $1,200 for the orthotics which is outrageous. We also discussed shoes which they said would be the same price as the orthotics so I didn't order them. I guess they would have billed me $600 per foot for the shoes too!

Business response:

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with your experience with our office. We have a return or correct policy for orthotics that would have allowed for correction or replacement in the event that a patient is not satisfied with the product provided within 3 months of receipt. Hopefully you were able to get this resolved via this method. As for the cost, that is a very high amount and not at all typical. You can always contact the management with issues that you are not happy with.
