I was referred to Dr. Ponas’s office but only saw his PA, who recommended surgery based on two ultrasounds. Upon arriving at the hospital, I learned that Dr. Ponas and his PA had not discussed my case beforehand. Dr. Ponas mentioned he did not have the CT scan—which is generally considered the gold standard for diagnosing kidney stones—but proceeded with surgery anyway. This was a deviation from the usual standard of care, which typically includes a CT scan before surgery. It appeared that he had not reviewed all my medical ... read more

My husband came for a urolift procedure but was never given any prep information. Then when he arrived he found out there was no anesthesiologist and doctor wanted to just give him laughing gas and he would still feel the pain. He said he was told he would be in a twilight sleep They said there was miscommunication. Never go to this doctor. My husband can’t have laughing gas On the way out he was given prep papers. He said he would never come here again. Find another urologist!!

I went in to get titanium clips removed that I was allergic to. They where placed during a vasectomy and after surgery Dr. Jaffee claimed to have removed them all but atleast one is clearly visible on x-ray. I am now having to go back into surgery with another provider to have removed. He kicked me out of the clinic after mentioning he didnt fully complete the surgery. He also ordered a latex jock strap for me after that RN Regina Gaines put on me even with my no latex clasp on my wristband and in my chart. it was also talke... read more

Dr Jaffee answered questions about incontinence and intervention options no one else could. I met with 6 experienced surgeons before meeting Dr. Jaffee. His previous patients referred me to him. I chose him because he was kind enough to listen to my concerns, previous experiences and problems. He could explain the source of the problems I was having and how to address those problems when others could not. And his previous patients referred me to him. They were thrilled with their surgeries - changed their lives. The surgery ... read more

He cannot be reached resulting in serious scheduling and coordinantion failures with hospitals, testing laboratories and cancellations. His office fails to return calls, leaves one on hold for tens of minutes then hangs up without answering - repeatedly. It is unprofessional and unsafe. I am looking for another and hopefully more responsive doctor to deal with my cancer.

Dr. Borhan has been my Urologist since 2018 when I found out my PSA was high. Instead of going straight to biopsy we did a targeted MRI, which showed nothing, but we continued watching as my PSA ebbed and flowed. In 2023 my PSA started rising again and although the MRI showed nothing he seemed to intuitively know something was amiss. He was right and I had my prostate removed while the cancer was still very small. The surgery, so far, has been 100% successful. I'm grateful I found him all those years ago.
