I ended up in Mt. Sinai Queens hospital ER with a fractured knee cap in mid Jan, 2026. That same afternoon, Dr. Johnstone was available to see me and advised me clearly of options and risks. He took his time with me and was very reassuring. We scheduled surgery two days later and I decided to go with him. So far, so good. No problems whatsoever! The first time I was there he had xrays done and it went well, second time I visited for a separate injury. His service felt rushed. I hoped to get something more than another referral done but it truly felt like he just wanted to get to the next patient. I need a doctor who cares to take care of the issue right away. Some type of imaging or something to put one at ease. A month old build up of fluid under the knee wont “go away eventually” especially when pain is increasing instead of decreasing.
