I saw this doctor years ago and let him perform surgery on me. He said he was sure that by removing a plate a previous surgeon put in my forearm it would fix the issue I was having moving my thumb. He told me it would fix my thumb (allow it to move freely as it was stuck for some reason) if he took out this "accessory plate", and I should let him do the surgery. I agreed and he did his thing.
