The Stephen Foster Drama Association is a theatre group that produces Stephen Foster-The Musical. The show is visited each season by an average of 60,000 people from all over the world and has now played to more than two million people. In September 1997, the show returned for the second time to Japan. In January of 1998, singers from Stephen Foster-The Musical joined the Louisville Orchestra for a pops concert featuring the newly orchestrated music from the show. Very well performance. The costumes where beautiful. Music was excellent. A very good show. Only a few more performances this year. The last one will be August 10th.
I saw the play when I was a kid. Didn't really appreciate it back then. But now as an adult I love it!
Excellent interpretation of a compelling historical story.
Attended again last night with friends from out of town. I've seen the performance well over a dozen times and I still thoroughly enjoy each as it was my first. And...the new stage and sound system are great! Thank you!
