The Stephen Foster Drama Association is a theatre group that produces Stephen Foster-The Musical. The show is visited each season by an average of 60,000 people from all over the world and has now played to more than two million people. In September 1997, the show returned for the second time to Japan. In January of 1998, singers from Stephen Foster-The Musical joined the Louisville Orchestra for a pops concert featuring the newly orchestrated music from the show. Enjoyed seeing the musical The Stephen Foster Story and getting a glimpse of the anti-slavery stance through his music. Although I have read some original lyrics to his songs were changed.
Had a wonderful time. The whole experience was great! Loved the show!!
My mom first brought me when I was about 8 years old and since then I've been several times over the years. Absolutely love the show and have most of it memorized but still love to go simply because it's such a fun time for the family. The kids enjoy it and my husband does as well. It's just a great time for everyone.
