I had an incisional hernia repair surgery with Dr. Fann at MUSC a few months ago. Having already been through a couple of prior abdominal surgeries (not hernia-related), I was nervous and wanted to be sure I chose the right surgeon and got the strongest repair possible to avoid recurrence. Dr. Fann repaired the hernia repair that had failed 4x previous and contrary to some other reviews, explained, visited in the hospital and managed the post surgery pain very well. He definitely has a personality, but he's a professional and I am thankful to have found him.
Keep looking, don’t use this Surgon. He will lie to you about what he has done and expect you to live in constant pain after he is done, I know from experience. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.
This man should never be allowed to practice surgery ever again. He has no personality, never goes over the surgical procedure and never answers questions. At the post op he doesn’t even show up to talk with his patients. NEVER EVER USE THIS MAN. He makes his patients feel worthless, unimportant, uncared for. Why would he ever become a doctor I don’t know. I thought MUSC was the premier medical facility to use here. I have used many MUSC doctors and always got amazing results.
