Stephanies The ribs are outstanding. You can even buy an extra one. The meatloaf is exceptional. This is one place where you can get delicious bone-in fish. And you should always get the lemon tea mix. Just great. The only problem I have with Stephanies is that they are so slow. You may wait for an hour for so get service. This is in addition to the hour you wait to be seated. If they could speed things up, this would be the perfect restaurant.
Stephanie's Restaurant Great southern cuisine, great prices, nice friendly people! What more could you ask for? The restaurant is clean and the wait staff are very courteous. They will always suggest items when you are undecided. Stephanie's is right off the highway so the location is good with plenty of parking at all times.
I love the food ... BAD: it needs more of something to look at to draw more customers, and look more appetizing from the outside. They don't have corn. Part of any soul food menu should be corn (cobb or kernle). GOOD: the portions can be LARGE. It's the closet we come to ol'school soul food unless you cook it yourself - most can't cook much better. CURIOUS: sometimes there are more white people in there than black.
Stephanie's Restaurant The down home flavor of this place is great. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and the portions are filling. The dinning area is large and comfortable.
Good every now and then This is a good, every once and a while place. I think the food is kinda of salty so I definitely would not go more that once or twice a year. For someone that has never eaten there it is a must visit in Greensboro.
