This is not for doctor but for staff who picked up phone, I called to make an appointment with doc Dr. Carmichael as my doc referred her name and the staff who picked up call asked me which insurance I have and without asking any other questions she was like we don't accept that insurance and hung up very quick before I say anything, that was so rude. Dr. Carmichael listened very well, great bed side manner. Allowing me to express and explain exactly what I was missing and needing. She did probing questions to discover what had already been tried and then discuss possible approachs to a remedy for my issues, that were wonderful.
Like other reviewers before me, the two stars missing on my review of Dr. Carmichael are because of her staff. Dr. Carmichael is a really good doctor; it's a shame that I will not be returning to her office simply because of the experience I had before my appointment. I arrived ten minutes early and checked in. I was assured that someone would call me back shortly. I am a former patient with Dr. Carmichael and her staff is very rude. They make her look bad. I just called today and was on hold for 5 minutes there was two patients in front of me. Once getting off hold I told her I was trying to be serviced for pregnancy needs and she told me the Dr’s are retired and don’t do those services anymore which is fine but she literally just hung up in my face before I could ask did any other location accept my needs and rushed me off phone. I wish I got her name. Do better.
I never received a text or phone call to confirm my appointment and so I called and them. They said I cancelled via text which I did not. They also did not ask me if I wanted to reschedule. Poor customer service!
