We brought our happy , peppy, and apparently healthy little 3 year old Maltese in for a teeth cleaning. An hour later we got a call that our pup was dead. Basically, we were told, "It happens." Butt the experience obviously left us feeling that something had gone wrong, and wondering whether "It happens" was an adequate response.
