They have helped many people I know from all walks of life, with different backgrounds and experiences. In my experience, living downtown on 9/11 really left me with a lot of trauma and The Steinway Wellness & Recovery Center and their staff, therapists, doctors, vocational therapists, art therapists are all very supportive, caring, encouraging, patient, and knowledgeable. They also supply a wealth of resources.
I've been coming here for almost 20 years. And have had nothing but the most professional experience. I had one Dr. for 15 years before he retired. Still with the same therapist.
I transferred from Metropolitan hospital in Manhattan to Steinway Wellness and Recovery over 9 years ago and I am very happy. I see a therapist, Christine, and psychiatrist, Dr. Jean Bart. My mother is a patient there and had told me they had openings and I transferred. My mother’s doctor is Dr. Yael.
