Awesome breakfast place
I ate at Stefan’s Restaurant numerous times before the current owner took over several years ago. It was always decent basic country cooking but nothing special- except for breakfast which was always great. We ate there tonight for the first time in several years and I am very impressed with the changes Chris has made. The food was awesome! My husband and I , pulled into A Big Wheel Rv Park yesterday, and the sweet lady that checked us in said this was the hometown place to go. She said the fried chicken was the best! Well we went and oh my goodness, we didn’t get the chicken, we both got Steffens Burgers, fried okra and onion rings. If you are old enough to remember soda shops from days gone by, this was that burger. Hold with both hands a have extra napkins. Everything was incredible. Drove by - turned around and went back! So glad we did! The food and service was excellent. We were on our way back to Florida determined not to stop at a chain restaurant for lunch. When we saw all of the cars parked around the building, we new it was the right place to stop. We hope to visit this restaurant again some day as we drive up Rt 17. Wish we lived nearby!
Excellent food and service. Starters were gator bites and fried green tomatoes. First for me ever and they were great.
