Steeplechase apt are a joke!!! I'm so glad we moved out from this hell hole!!! These money hungry scam artists!!!! First they cheated us out of an additional $1500 because they claim we was supposed to give them a 60 days and not that 30 day notice that we did give them... So we had to agree to a month to month lease and pay a extra month rent even tho we had moved out and was living somewhere else ... Then on top of that, they just sent us a bill for over $100.... Very friendly and welcoming staff. They explained everything clearly and made the apartment tour easy and enjoyable.
I lived at Steeplechase for four years, I loved it! The maintenance guys were great! Originally I had some small problems with the front office, but they changed staff a while back and the new management has been excellent. I never write reviews, this one's my first. But the staff at Steeplechase were really kind when I was moving out. At the very last minute they let me extend my lease an extra two days. It was really kind of them and totally saved my neck. Thank goodness we are moving out! Management had informed us that they needed to measure the kitchen cabinets for a renovation after we leave. In the past, I have made it clear that one of us would need to be present if they need to enter the apartment. Management sent the 24 hour notice yesterday and included a window of between 10-10:30 am. This time was chosen by management. I rearranged my schedule to be here for them to enter. I came here because I couldn't decide where to move....the caveat....a friend took a job at BRG....and loved it...good enough for work is an excellent recommendation for where to live. It's clean, friendly, mature trees, walking trail, pool, gas grills, ponds with game fish and carp, hawks, blue jay, cardinal, humming birds, deer and of course waterfowl. Walk to Menards and Meijer. Shopping galore, bike trails and parks. No loud car stereos, nice neighbors and staff. Did I say clean.....it is...!
