I was referred to Dr. Johnson after months of being bounced between doctors—starting with an orthopedic surgeon, then to a foot and ankle specialist, and then back again. I’ve had a grade 3 ankle sprain for over seven months with two torn ligaments. After having an X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI, I came to him hoping for real treatment. Don’t go to Dr Steen Johnsen unless you are retired and have absolutely nothing better to do than wait in the lobby for an hour and a half for every visit. I have twice complained to the Banner TOCA staff about this issue. I even modified when I book my appointments, only booking morning appointment times. Nothing changes. I had surgery on my ankle with dr steen. Then he could not see me for 6 weeks past date to have the cast taken off. They wanted my cast to be on 6 extra weeks because their assistants vacation schedule. I had to change doctors and leave banner after surgery. Unprofessional
He is very good,I have been waiting almost 1hr to seem him.
I came to Dr. Johnson with an injury that I thought would never be resolved. For over a year he worked with me to reduce my pain level and finally perform the surgery that was necessary for me to move forward. He is so intelligent & knowledgeable in his field, he gave me options and listened when I have numerous questions. His entire team is outstanding and I would very highly recommend him!
