I had Steele's out to give me an estimate for replacing my Heat Pump back in 2017. I had mentioned that the existing unit wasn't getting the job done. Steele recommended a Carrier 2-Stage, 3 ton, 16.5 SEER, system in lieu of the recommendations of getting more expensive options that I had been looking at. Before I signed the dotted line and paid him the invoice for the service, Steele did all sweet talk and promised me to perform manual J calculation and to install the AC in another house.
