The kid at the front desk claimed the site we wanted was taken but we could see no one was in that spot, it was just an excuse to lump all the campers together, most sites were empty. The toilets were overflowing, and there were spiders everywhere. It would have been awesome if they had just been slightly accomodating

Steele Canyon Campground at Lake Berryessa offers clear lake water and clean porta-potties but lacks shade trees and showers. Consider these factors when making your camping decision. No running water, so make sure you have plenty of water, especially if you have little ones

Most poorly maintained day use park area I have ever experienced and I've been exploring California lakes & parks for 30 years. Don't waste your $20 entry fee. No shade. Disgistingly gross water. Not really anywhere to put a chair or blanket. It was not a good time.

I came to celebrate Father’s Day with my fiancé and the family, we enjoyed the peacefulness of the a lake. The only thing is that the boaters and people on jet skies don’t respect that they should also share the lake with people who are swimming. It’s too over trafficked with boaters (not so friendly to swim). I do enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Berryessa and all it’s camp areas. Just wished there was safer zones for those who like to swim.
