I had one of the best times of my life. Ryan was an expert and had us on fish from the first cast until the trip ended. He gave me many pointers on my cast and was truly an expert at his craft. We had an absolute blast. Can’t wait to book another trip. Also, the private tour is definitely the way to go!
Amazing guides, took care of novices super well, and were attentive to the rest whom have done a few time. Lots of great pointers on casting and fighting fish, if you plan a trip to steamboat springs and have the time I highly recommend going fly fishing with these guys.
Had a great one day walk trip with Doug Garber. With the Yampa on voluntary closure, we decided Private water was the best bet. Was that ever a good decision- nice Whitefish to start, switched up the flies and the Bows started hitting big. 22”, 23.5”, 25.75”- missed a couple of monsters and it was so cold everything was icing up, but we still had a good time. Thanks Doug- I will be back in the water with you!

I had never been fly fishing before and had the best day learning from Nathan Birdseye a guide at the fly shop!! He was so amazing at giving me visual cues to land some amazing fish that day!!! Look him up at the shop!!!
