Very dissatisfied. About 10 minute wait to be seated, which is understandable for a weekend. Took about another 15 minutes for our waitress to show up to take our drink orders. Took another 15 minutes to even get them!!! 15 minutes later she comes back and asks us if we are "ready" to give our orders!!!!!! Looking at the menu for that long should give anyone time! The store held it's grand re-opening on 4/2 and we group stopped by just after mid-night. One of the food, Chili Frank hot dog had a long hair that was in it. We told the server and she started to look to see who it belonged to amongst the cooks. She got them to comp the meal and asked if there was anything else that we wanted, but honestly everybody had lost their appetite at this point. I will probably never dine here again. I'm from Maryland and my spouse's family is from the area. We stopped to eat at this location. It was a horrible experience. We waited 15 minutes to be seated as everyone including workers stared at us so we seated ourselves. After it took 15 extra minutes for them to even acknowledge we were even there. Love their shakes – The shakes are the best, when they actually come with your meal or before. The last few times I have been there the shakes have come after I already have my food which is a major disappointment. I mean 10 minutes after I have my food. This has happened probably three times in a row. Need to spiff it up in the shake department. Other than that I love the food there. Wish there were more closer to where I live.
I felt like my mouth got raped. – If you have 5 hours to spare, the shakes are alright.
Are they trying to be the worst?? – This place is a mess!! It takes like 10-15 min just to get the order in the drive-through - sometimes they dont even check it and you're just parked there like an idiot. Then 3 out of 5 times they will get your order wrong and then, on top of everything, they'll tell you'll have to go around and order again because they "cant fix it". Absolutely horrendous! – This place is terrible. The service is the worst I've ever seen. I just got two chili cheese hot dogs to go. When I got home I noticed that the bag was soaking wet? Odd I thought. I opened the container to find both hot dogs swimming in about a half inch of some kind of juice. Needless to say the buns where so wet that I couldn't even pick them up. i wish i could give it 0 stars. i came here and literally waited hr and half for my food! no joke... i felt bad for the server b/c it wasn't up to him but not once did a manager come up to us. i dont understand why it took so long but it was terrible. we did end up getting out whole meal comped but that is absurd.
what happened? – I remember steak and shake being a glorious addition to the waterfront. I would crave their steakburgers and usually make the journey to treat myself a few times a year but on a recent visit I feel as though I've lost faith in this particular store.
